Definition of Coffee Badging

When an employee goes to their office with the sole purpose of scanning their employee badge, so they can be marked as present for the day as part of a company's return-to-office (RTO) policy to track office attendance rate. Then the employee only stays a few minutes (the time it takes to get a cup of coffee) in the office to avoid scrutiny, and then leave the office for the day.

Example: The employee didn't want to work from the office today because he needed a quiet environment to work on his project, but he had to coffee badge into his office so he wouldn't violate his company's RTO policy.
