A company that has been unable to generate significant revenue or grow its business, but continues to operate due to funding from investors. Zombie startups often have a difficult time attracting new customers and generating new ideas, and as a result, they often end up shuttering their businesses.

Example: The VC firm had a few zombie startups in their portfolio. The VC firm was working with these startups to increase their growth rate.
