When one person dominates the conversation in a meeting not allowing anybody else can talk. This causes everybody else to become disengaged in the conversation.
Example: Everybody in the meeting felt like the manager was sucking all the oxygen out of the room. The manager was dominating the conversation and not allowing anybody else to speak for more than a few sentences.
