Definition of Vanity Meeting

A useless meeting that only has the purpose to make the organizer look good. For example, if a CTO organizes a meeting to discuss a project that has no business impact but the project was their idea, that would be a vanity meeting.

Example: The employee thought it was vanity meeting, so decided to attend to be supportive but not turn on their video so they could focus on other work.
