Definition of Career Progression

When a person has a pattern of getting promotions and higher job titles during their career. For example, if a person goes from software engineer to senior software engineer to lead software engineer within a few years, that would be good career progression.

Example: The hiring manager reviewed each candidate's resume to understand his or her career progression. The hiring manager used this as a proxy to evaluate the candidate's effectiveness in each of their roles.
